My name is Anja and I am a photographer and filmmaker based in Brighton. I have a great track record within Higher Education, working on video projects for universities and Students’ Unions throughout the UK. Please read on if you are interested in working with me.

Higher Education and student experiences have been my main field of work since 2015.

However, my journey as a video producer and filmmaker started in 2006. With over 13 years of experience in various areas of video production, I can help your school, university or Students’ Union create better and more engaging photo and video content to support your recruitment efforts.

Working as Senior Video Producer for INTO University Partnerships, I got to meet hundreds of international and home students all over the UK to tell their stories. The aim was always authenticity and encouragement while being inspiring and evoke emotions to support student recruitment for INTO’s partner universities worldwide.

Since becoming a full-time freelancing photographer and filmmaker in 2019, I worked with two separate Students’ Unions (University of Sussex SU and King’s College London SU) to help spread the messages of their student officers and support their marketing efforts.

Student's union

For the beginning of the new semester in September 2019, the University of Sussex Students’ Union requested profile videos for their 6 officers. These videos were used to introduce the officers to the student body at the university and give an overview of their areas of responsibility.
The video shown introduces the Welfare Advisor Niina. Each officer received their video with and without subtitles along with a number of headshots.

In March 2020, the student officers at King’s College London Students’ Union were asked to present their achievements during their term via video. The objective was to create a short and a long version for each officer to use in different places online as well as during their KCLSU Annual General Meeting.
The video shown is of the SU President Shaswat, outlining his manifesto points and elaborating on their status quo. Each officer received 2 versions of their video (short and long), both with and without subtitles, as well as headshots.

For Freshers’ Week in September 2019, the University of Sussex Students’ Union needed an updated promo video. Together with the head of the communications team, I worked on the message of that video and how it can be used in different surroundings and instances. The result was three versions for different channels with this one shown on the right as the teaser that was to be used online to introduce the SU to the students.

Each of the images below guides you to a video I created during my time at INTO. All videos are telling real student stories about their experiences abroad. The videos have been produced for a number of different campaigns and over a few years.

Rates and payment terms

Prices for filming, editing and post-production vary based on your project requirements.

A small video production including half a day of filming and 1-2min video output, starts at £600.
For projects that require photos and film, prices start at £800 for half a day of filming on location, 1-2min video output and 20 high-res images.

Every project is different, there is no “one size fits all”. Rather than giving you a set price, I will work with you to create a bespoke offer for your specific needs. With this, we can set up workload, timelines and responsibilities that will make the process a lot easier for both sides.
