Teaching and Mentoring

Photography and video is everywhere and with cameras becoming more accessible and easier to operate constantly, one might think it’s not difficult to take good photos anymore. Even smartphones have such great built-in cameras that anybody can take a good photo.

However, really understanding what a good photo is, how to compose a scene and work with the light around you, is more than pressing the shutter button. There’s a difference between taking a few good snapshots and being a skilled photographer.

When it comes to photography and video production, I am self-taught for the most part. I got my first DSLR in 2006 and have learnt A LOT over the years. I worked with the trial-and-error-method and analysed other images to figure out what made them different and better than mine. There is no shortcut to being a great photographer. It’s understanding the craft and consistently practising – same as with every skill you could acquire. But I’m here to help you if you like.

I’ve got over 13 years experience as a camera operator, video editor, motion designer and photographer working with a range of different projects and clients. Yet, I’m by no means the best photographer, videographer or photo/video editor in the world but I know what I’m doing and I’d love to help you get better if you need some support. I offer 1-2-1 training sessions teaching any of the below-mentioned skills and techniques. The training will be tailored to your personal needs.
