When you started your business, did you know about all the different roles you’d have to fill?
Apart from that thing you do, you also have to be a bookkeeper and accountant, a strategist, a social media manager, a web designer, a customer service advisor, a photographer, a content writer, an ads manager… The list goes on and on.
And even if you don’t do it by yourself but have a small, capable team, there’s still always more work than manpower available.
You are a pro in that thing you do but you can’t physically be equally great in every single aspect of running a business. Nobody can. And that’s why you’re here…
I’m a photographer and filmmaker and I also can’t do it all by myself so I’m looking for small businesses from any kind of background to collaborate with, in a way that benefits both sides.
What does that mean?
I want to connect with small businesses in (West) Sussex like you, by offering a sort of mini version of my work for free in exchange for referrals to your audience. The important part about this is that your and my audience needs to be similar for this to work.
The clients I’m looking for are mums or parents in Sussex who care about their family and spending time together. They don’t mind to spending money on experiences and are aware that time goes too fast.
They also care about the environment and sustainability which results in supporting small local businesses for example.

How does it work?
I take photos for your business
You get a mini branding photo session (including some photos) for free:
- We’ll meet at your shop/workshop or home office
- I’ll take some photos of you and your products or how you work with clients
- You receive an online gallery with 15-20 images and can choose 3 to download for free
- You can purchase additional images through your gallery
- I will share your work with my audience via my blog, newsletter and social channels
You share my vouchers with your clients
You’ll get a few vouchers to share with your favourite customers or clients:
- You’ve got some amazing clients who you know would love some family photography? Treat them with a gift from me!
- The vouchers I will provide you with will have a monetary value towards a family photo or film session with me
- The vouchers are valid for 3 months after we’ve met
- This gift serves as a thank you for your best clients or customers to support another local business (me)
You get a big discount
The more of your vouchers will be used, the more you can save in the future:
- Every one of your vouchers that will be redeemed within 3 months, will knock off 5% of a future booking with me for you
- You can book my services to create some photography or a film for your business (or your family)
- If you book a full branding session with me (full day or half day), we can create bespoke imagery for you and create a bank of images that will give you social content for months

To enter:
- You must classify as a freelancer, self-employed or small business owner.
- You are based in East or West Sussex and have a workshop, a shop or store or an online platform to present your products or services.
- You must be 18+ at the time of entry.
- Your audience must include families and mums that might be interested in family photography. You will not be held responsible if your audience is not going to book my services but your and my ideal client should be similar to make this work.
- Please only reach out if you’re happy for your photos to be used in marketing materials, such as but not limited to my website, social media and printed media.
- If I feel like we’d be a great match, you’ll be notified via email so we can start the planning process for your mini branding photo session.
- The photo session I provide for free will include 20-30mins of shooting time and 3 free high-res images to download via an online gallery. Further images can be purchased through your gallery.
- Your photos and business’s story will be shared with my audience via my blog, newsletter and social media channels.
- You agree to credit me when you’re using the images I created for you.
- The vouchers you share with your audience will be valid for 3months. Any voucher redeemed will generate a discount for you to be used in a future photo of film session. This discount cannot be exchanged for money but it can be gifted to another person.

Who am I?
Hi, I’m Anja.
I’m a chocoholic, night owl, crossfitter, photographer and filmmaker. After 7 years in Hove, I’ve now relocated to Lancing and would love to connect with other small businesses particularly in West Sussex.
As a photographer and filmmaker, I work in two main areas: families and businesses.
I love helping small businesses tell their brand story through beautiful photos and inspiring brand films and absolutely adore documenting family life (including my own). I’ve got a camera in my hand every day and can’t wait to use that to create stunning photos and videos of you and your business.
What does my work look like?
Since I ask you to promote me to your audience, you probably want to make sure that I know what I’m doing and create beautiful images that you know your clients will love, right? Let me share a few pieces of my work with you:
I’m a documentary family photographer and filmmaker. But what does that mean?
I photograph life for families who know they can’t avoid the chaos so they might as well embrace it. I document reality in an honest and authentic way to show parents how beautiful and precious their crazy life is.
This is what I can do for you
For small businesses, I create brand films, behind-the-scenes or promotional videos – whatever you want to call it – that talk about who you are, what you offer and what makes you different from other businesses.
My brand photography covers different aspects of your work. In your session, we create a bank of images that you can use on your website, in presentations and pitches as well as content for your social media channels.

A.k.a. questions you might have before you reaching out.
Oh, that’s super easy! Read the Terms and Conditions to be sure you agree with all of them and then just fill out and submit the questionnaire. These questions will tell me a bit more about who you are, what your business is about and most importantly, it will let me get an idea of whether our audiences are similar enough for us to make this work.
We will meet for up to an hour to chat and just get to know each other. I’ll spend about 20-30mins of that time taking photos of you and for you – that means we’ll take some headshots, some photos of you doing your thing, I can take a few product shots if you’ve got any or some of your shop.
You will then receive a link to an online gallery with about 20ish photos and will be able to download 3 high-res images for free. If you love your photos and want more than 3, you can purchase them through the gallery at £15 per digital file.
The free images, as well as the additional ones you purchase, will be in high resolution, fully edited, and without a watermark. You will be allowed to use them without any restrictions to promote your business.
On top of that, I will feature your business on my blog, my social media channels and my newsletter. Thanks to the photos I took, my audience will get an idea of who you are, waht you do and why they should definitely check you out. That way my audience will also hear about you and not just the other way around.
There is no set date for when we meet to take your photos – it all depends on your and my availability over the next weeks and months.
For this project to work, it’s really important that both our audiences align. I’m going to provide my time and talent for free to you and hope to be introduced to your clients in return. That way we’ll both benefit.
If you already know that your audience is not very likely to spend money on family photography, which I understand is not a necessity but a luxury, then I hope you’ll be honest with me and let me know.
Another reward for you handing out vouchers to families who might want to work with me, will be available if those are being redeemed. For every voucher that’s being cashed in you can get 5% off any branding photo or film session with me in the future (maximum savings of 30%). During a designated and well-planned branding session, we’ll be able to uncover and illustrate your story and your value in a much better way than during our first 30min photo session.
I offer different packages for my branding clients from a mini branding shoot to a full day of photography plus video or a separate video package for those who don’t need photos. Prices start from £175.

My family photography and film prices consist of two parts. The session fee starts at £150 which covers my time during the shoot. After the images have been taken and edited, the families can choose from different packages or products to guarantee that they only have to pay for the images they absolutely love.
My clients usually spend anything from £500 to £1100 for a full session. To see my full pricing information, please visit my family photography and films info page.
The vouchers you can gift your customers will be worth £100 each which will be taken off their family photo or family photo and film session fee.
You can certainly still reach out but my goal is to connect with local businesses in West (and to an extend East) Sussex. Anything beyond might be too far for me to cover for this project at the moment.
