Over the course of last summer I got to photograph weddings all over the south of England, assisting a number of talented and lovely photographers. One of them is the sweet Samantha Davis, who by now I actually call a real friend. Working for her is always fun! In August she had me along to second shoot the outdoor wedding of Kay and Pete in Dorset.
Kay and Pete’s wedding happend on a hot summer day. Funny thing is, the day started with heavy rain showers, that made everybody fear that their beautiful outdoor wedding on the Partyfield in Dorset might be swept away by all that water. All the guest were supposed to stay over in tents on the huge grounds of what’s actually a festival area. Luckily, the rain stopped while everybody was still getting ready. But even if the weather had been bad, I doubt it would have affected the spirit of this gorgeous couple. Kay is just the most positive, happy bride I’ve ever met! So much laughter… It was a long but very fun day – and on a side note, it was the day I fell in love with Hog Roast. I haven’t had another one as delicious as this one though yet. Now I know, any wedding with a Hog Roast is a big win! Seriously brides – way to make your guests (and photographers) happy!
Anyway, here is a selection of my favorite photos from the day.
