In August I got to second shoot the wedding of Fiona and Andy for my lovely friend Anna from Anna Pumer Photography. For a change this was an almost local wedding for the both of us since it was only a little bit outside of Brighton.
The night before the wedding I got a text from Anna saying that the bride, her father and a few bridesmaids were in a terrible car accident – the day before the wedding! I felt so bad for them but luckily aside from a few bruises and shocks everybody was alright. It really puts things in perspective when usually the fear before a wedding would be if everything happened on time and just the way planned. It shows that the most important thing at a wedding should be that all your loved ones are there to celebrate your special day with you! That’s my take on this anyway…
So, Fiona and Andy got married at The Parish Church of the Holy Trinity in Hurstpierpoint. As a surprise Fiona got up on the altar during the ceremony and sang with the choir. You can hear her hauntingly beautiful voice in the video at the bottom of this blogpost. The ceremony was then followed by a relaxed and sunny reception at the Pangdean Barn in Pyecomb, just outside of Brighton. It was a warm summer day, with lovely people and a sweet couple. I know I say that about pretty much every couple I get to work with but it happens to be true every singe time 🙂
And as promised Fionas beautiful voice as she sings with the choir during her own wedding.
