A few weeks ago I got to second shoot for Kari Bellamy, a wonderful and talented wedding photographer from London. This wedding day was awesome in so many ways. Firstly, Kari is really lovely and fun to work with. Secondly the couple, Debs and Andy, were so sweet and welcoming and had planned a beautiful wedding at Bix Manor in Henley-on-Thames. And lastly it was a jewish wedding – my first jewish wedding ever. With a chuppah, in a barn, with fairy lights hanging from the ceiling. And with a candy bar. Beautiful!!
Anyway, I started the day with Andy in the gorgeous Hotel du Vin in Henley-on-Thames covering the groom prep. I then drove to Bix Manor with the boys for the ceremony and reception. The ceremony room was lit with a chain of lights and later changed into the dance floor with a seriously awesome live band. So beautiful! And I think I’ve said it before but I love weddings where there’s a lot of dancing. People let lose, sing out loud to any song and go crazy. That’s really fun to see!
Also, Debs and Andys’ vows contained the most beautiful sentence I’ve ever heard at a wedding. “I am my beloveds, my beloved is mine!” It really stuck with me and still lets me gush over this wonderful day!
